LAKE COUNTY, FLA. — The Sheriff’s Office on Friday announced that it located and arrested a man wanted in the fatal shooting of another man.
Deputies on Thursday were called to 31504 Colby Place in Sorrento where they found Justin Kates, 37, in the road, dead from a gunshot wound.
Witnesses said Justin J. Raymond Fout, 31 had been in a verbal altercation with Kates “prior to the suspect shooting the victim,” according to a sheriff’s press release.
Fout reportedly fled in an older model white Dodge Ram van with Patricia Neeley, who has been described as a person of interest.
The van has front and rear damage with red transfer paint on the rear, a black spray-painted rear right door and a broken out rear left door window.
Lake County authorities issued an arrest warrant for Fout for second-degree murder.
The department said no other information is available at this time. The case is still under investigation.
