LAKE COUNTY, FLA. – A jury has found a 65-year-old man to be guilty of 48 counts of possession of child pornography and the more serious charge of promoting a sexual performance by a child.
Joseph Greene of Montverde came under investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement after a receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Disturbing images examined by investigators found girls as young as 5 being raped or exposed.
“…there are over 1,000 additional counts that could be charged,” according to the probable cause affidavit.
The document said files included Greene masturbating with lewd expressions embedded in the image.
The investigator noted that he was wanted on a warrant out of Georgia, had no family in the area, and was a flight risk, so he requested no bond for Greene.
Circuit Judge Cary Rada ordered a presentence investigation on Nov. 6.
