LAKE COUNTY – The Medical Examiner’s Office is classifying the discovery of a woman’s body in the Mount Dora area as a homicide.
Monica Islam’s body was found Monday near Scenic Hills Drive and Wolf Branch Road. She had been reported missing from the Eustis area shortly after her body was found, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The ME office determined she died from a gunshot wound, and it was a homicide.
