LEESBURG, FLA. – Police have made an arrest in the Friday evening shooting death of a 20-year-old man.
Police were called to the 1000 block of Tuskegee Street at 7 p.m. Officers and EMS responders rendered aid and took him to UF Health hospital but the man died. Investigators have not released his name, pending notification of next of kin.
While crime scene investigators were working to collect evidence, the father of 18-year-old Kameryn Pickard brought his son to the site so he could turn himself in. Detectives interviewed Pickard. They are working with the State Attorney’s Office to determine the charges.
