LAKE COUNTY, FL. – Police in Tavares are looking for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident Sunday while driving an SUV that struck and killed a bicyclist.

The victim has been identified as Frank Carrasquillo, 49, of Tavares. He was riding his bike in the 600 block of east Alfred St., at about 8:50 p.m.

Evidence left at the scene indicates that it was a silver or blue Honda Odyssey. The vehicle will have significant front passenger side damage, said Detective Courtney Sullivan.

Tavares police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the Honda driver. Anyone with information can call the department at 352-343-2101.
